The Reading Pile

Here’s what I’m reading these days:

The Apostle: A Life of Paul by John Pollock

This book makes the life of Paul come to life like I’ve never experienced before!  It reads like a novel!  It’s opened my mind so much to how and why  Paul’s epistles were written.  I love this book; in fact, I’m reading it a second time!

Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy by Eric Metaxes

Bonhoeffer was a man of incredible courage, standing against Hitler and eventually being killed for his stand.  It’s nearly 600 pages, so it’s no easy or quick read, but it grips me every time I open it, calling me to allow the Lord to examine my own faith and commitment.  It’s mesmerizing!

I had to search The Help to see what it was. It sounds like a movie I would like to see and read the book also. #1 box office movie right now.
